Aims:

  • To encourage social inclusion, thereby reducing isolation and distress and increasing confidence and self-esteem.

  • To provide equal access and opportunities for people suffering from mental health problems.

  • To empower clients in making informed choices and decisions.

  • To empower clients to take an active role in society and fulfil their full potential.

  • To empower clients in seeking out new and innovative ways to positively affect their own mental health thus bringing peace and harmony to their lives.

  • To provide support, listening and information.
     

To achieve these aims, the Open Doors Project provides callers and visitors:

  • Accurate and up-to-date information on opportunities and services available in their local community.

  • Support in accessing opportunities and achieving their full potential.

  • Provide a resource room of information and support.

  • Providing activities to encourage social inclusion and positive mental health.

  • The opportunity to have their concerns and feelings listened to confidentially and without judgement.
