The
Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley Mind Garden
Project has been running for over ten years.
Its aim is to provide persons who have
experienced mental health problems who live
in the Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley area
of North West Kent, to work as a team at
gardening. Previous gardening experience is
not essential and all tools and equipment
are provided.
Last
year the project acquired an allotment in
Dartford. This offers an exciting new
challenge to grow fresh fruit and
vegetables. In the first year we grew
raspberries, strawberries, potatoes, onions,
runner beans and much more.
The
project currently meets between 1pm-4pm on
Mondays (at the Allotment) and Wednesdays at
the Almshouses.
The
Almshouses garden in West Hill, Dartford has
progressed from a virtual derelict site to
cottage garden style full of colour.

Volunteers must be
over 18 years old.
