Drop in's are meeting places for people who have had a history of all types of mental health illness. They provide a safe environment where members can enjoy a friendly and non judgemental atmosphere.

Members are free to choose the times at which they attend during the opening hours. Each drop in is staffed by two or three trained workers whose responsibilities are to welcome new members and coordinate the smooth running of the drop in.

Activities vary between the drop in's but they include playing pool and bingo, table tennis, quizzes, karaoke and card games. Light meals are provided at a small cost at all drop in's. Organised trips to the coast, local theatres and restaurants are run each year.

There are links with both Dartford and Gravesend Adult Education for those members seeking such involvement. Also assistance can be arranged through links with Dartford and Gravesham Advocacy and with the Citizens Advice Bureau. Membership is open to all persons over 18 years of age
